Vehicle Asset Finance Rate Mess Up

On June 6th I inquired about fixing my interest rate on my vehicle asset finance. I specifically asked for someone to call me to discuss what my fixed rate would be before I commit to the rate to be fixed. I received a sms with a reference number and was told someone will call me within 48 hours. 48 hours later i received a sms stating that the request has been resolved.... up to this point no one had called me! how was it resolved?

Called the call centre again 09 June querying how the matter was resolved if no one called me to discuss the rate change. I was told that they could not get back to me as they do not have my cellphone number and email address on file... HOW? so how was i receiving service request numbers if Standard Bank does not have my cellphone number? how do they confirm my cellphone number in a security check without my cellphone number? how are they emailing me statements without an email address???? regardless of the fact that I have been with this bank for 12 years! Never the less the consultant escalated the case and said someone will call me within 48 hours to discuss rate change... I CLEARLY STATED THAT IT IS NOT TO BE FIXED UNTIL SOMEONE CALLS ME TO CONFIRM THE RATE WITH ME. no one called.... again received an sms that the query was resolved.

Forward to today... called the call centre and low and behold... my rate was fixed without anyone calling me to discuss what the rate would be.., again query was escalated by the call centre consultant and Im sure nothing will be done again until I call again.

Horrible customer service yet again!
