Utterly useless.. no wonder I moved to another banking institution

<p>I have been trying to cancel my Credit card with standard bank its its proving worthless. I went into the bank at umhlanga ridge and was assisted thoroughly and professionally. My current acc was closed and i paid off all monies owing on my Credit card. however to cancel your credit card you have to call the card division and do this telephonically. I spent a total of 2 weeks and 4 hours this week on the phone already holding on for someone to assist me and to no avail i still cannot cancel it. I then tried the customer care email address and they had rep**** stating that all monies must be paid to my CC. i have no idea why they even suggested that as they have no idea what the account number is or whom the title holder is? so how did they make that ASSumption ??? cause everything is paid and up to date on my side. We are so primitive in the way things are done. Lack efficiency and customer satisifcation. I am still waiitng to close my account.. The sooner the better</p>
