Useless Bank

My family and I are emigrating. We leave tomorrow in fact. My daughter was at Standard Bank Greenstone yesterday to close her bank accounts. She has a 32 day notice deposit account and a cheque account. There was R49 in her notice deposit account and nothing in her cheque account. There was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing and me transferring money to her account to close those accounts. She first stood in the queue outside the bank for an hour and a half, and then spent two hours in the bank. The end result was supposed to be that her 32 day notice account was going to be closed today and the last R49 was going to be deposited in my bank account and both accounts were going to be closed. Well guess what after all that effort nothing has happened at all. Both her accounts are still open. She can see them on her banking app. Really STD Bank your service is dismal these days. You have so few branches to go to and now some of them are "temporarily" closed due to Covid-19 and when one gets into the branch eventually the service is lousy at best. I need my daughters bank accounts closed. Today.
