Unwilling to pay car accident claim

I was driving from Pretoria to Polokwane on FRIDAY 22 May 2015 in rush hour traffic when a person insured by STANDARD BANK coming from the front made a u-turn right in front of me. To avoid an accident I had to brake so severely that the person behind me had no chance to avoid me. He crashed into the right back side of me. When we claimed from STANDARD BANK to have our cars repaired a person by the name of KAITLYN SAMUEL informed us that they will not entertain our claim as there was no damage to their client's car and WE were at fault in that we did not drive at the correct following distances. If I was not able to prevent this accident their client and other people could have been dead. It is the first time that I hear that an insurance company will not pay for damages if its client was NOT INVOLVED in the accident but CAUSED the accident. That is exactly why we take out insurance: To be protected by our insurance firm when we make a mistake, except of course STANDARD BANK who betrays their clients because this client now has to pay out of her own pocket. The point is however that you people out there must think twice before you have your car insurance done by STANDARD BANK!
