Unsecure, Unreliable and Unprofessional

Where do I start.

Over the course of 2 months, I had 3 incidents which after 3 months are still unresolved.

Incident 1: NEW BANK CARD (Lost Beneficiaries, Lost inter-account transfer capabilities)

- The bank Issued me a new Card (not sure why as mine was only expiring this year) which I went to collect. Since Standard Bank online banking requires you to log in with a card number (and FULL pin and password!!) and not account number, when I logged in, all my beneficiaries have been lost and after multiple requests via telephone they still cannot help to transfer them.

One of the "solutions" were to sign up for the NEW profile banking that is registered to an email address which I've done but the Beneficiaries are still gone.

To make matters worse I'm unable to do a transfer from my current account to my credit card. After speaking to the bank they suggest I do a payment into my card number (From time to time payments at Standard Bank to Standard Bank takes a day to process, so this was obviously not ideal)

Incident 2: ***** ON MY ACCOUNT (Standard Bank unwilling to refund and unwilling to disclose written reason. Guess their legal department wants to be the only one with evidence of the incident)

- Shortly after I received a new card and registered for the NEW email profile banking, I had an incident on my business account where my accounting clerk was busy doing a passport renewal at Dep of Home Affairs' Website. On their site she had to create a bill for payment and coincidently received an email at the same time asking to confirm an OTP. When she clicked on the link an OTP was received and when she entered it (without disclosing other account nr. or passwords) on the same site I immediately received a text that a beneficiary was created and immediately two payments of over R9000 each was made to this beneficiary. (Just from entering an OTP while not even logged into the ban****)

As soon as I got the text messages I immediately logged on to the bank and deleted the beneficiary.

I also immediately contacted the ***** division and described the incident. The person then said I should speak to someone else and transfered me. The second person heard me out and transfered me again to someone else. So did the third! Luckily I rep**** to one of the text messages to report *****.

After about 40 minutes, waiting for the 4th person, my phone rang and someone from the bank called regarding the ***** text message.

They explained that the situation needs to be investigated before they can reverse any transactions and that it will take 4 weeks.

Someone from the bank phoned me 3 weeks later saying "they are not going to refund me since an OTP has been generated" (Who's got access to Standard Bank's back-end to generate OTPs as they please??)

I asked them to please send me this investigation report via email. They said they will send it at the end of the week. It has been almost 2 months and haven't heard anything back.

Incident 3: BOND ASSURANCE ON PROPERTY THAT I DO NOT OWN

I recently got a broker to check on active policies for me and he discovered that Standard Bank is still charging me for bond assurance on property I sold in 2011. I now need to go into the bank to see if someone is willing to help....

Thank you for the response. I have managed to resolve 2 of the 3 complaints with the help of the experienced and friendly staff at Standard Bank Centurion.
Regarding the ***** incident. I'm still waiting on feedback and not holding my breath.
