Unresponsive and Disappointing Service for a Sensitive Matter

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service at Standard Bank regarding my late mother’s estate account. I have reached out multiple times via email to resolve an important issue, but my messages have been completely ignored. In addition to emailing, I tried contacting the bank through social media, hoping for some assistance, but after an initial minimal response, communication stopped altogether.

As a long-time customer, I expected timely and respectful support, especially given the sensitivity of this matter. The lack of acknowledgment from Standard Bank has left me feeling ignored, frustrated, and undervalued. Handling a late estate account is already challenging, and the absence of support has only added to the distress. I truly hope Standard Bank reconsiders its approach to customer service and takes these matters more seriously. Until then, I cannot recommend Standard Bank to anyone who values reliable and responsive service.

These are the same replies I am getting on social media. I have getting automatic replies like the one above for two weeks. I am also tired of getting phone calls, but never a resolution.

The estate team has been sending conflicting emails regarding missing documents, despite everything on the checklist being complete. We reached out by phone, and they assured us they would follow up, but we haven’t heard back. I've been the one actively reaching out and making all the efforts to resolve this. I would appreciate a different resolution at this point. I’m also willing to meet at any of your branches or offices with physical copies of the required documents.Additionally, I've requested recordings of all my phone conversations with your team for documentation, though I doubt I'll actually receive them. This process is taking far too long, and now creditors are calling me daily regarding the estate, pressing me to settle the car loan. If the situation were reversed, and I owed you, I’m certain it wouldn’t be handled like this.

This matter is still unresolved. Despite numerous assurances via automated email replies that the issue would be resolved, I am still facing conflicting information and an apparent lack of meaningful follow-up.I even proposed a face-to-face meeting with the Deceased Estate Team to obtain a clear explanation, but I have since stopped receiving any replies. I have provided my contact details, yet no one has reached out. This lack of communication and accountability is highly unprofessional and disheartening. All I am asking for is a straightforward call or an email outlining the steps I need to take to resolve this matter. It is clear that there is a disconnect between various departments at Standard Bank, as no one seems to be communicating effectively or coordinating efforts to address my concerns.
