Unresolved Vehicle Registration and Damages

I am writing to share my frustrating experience with Standard Bank regarding the purchase of a vehicle, which has been plagued with registration issues and unresolved damages.

Since the collection of the vehicle, I have faced several issues, including:

1. Unresolved Vehicle Damages: The vehicle was handed over to me with **significant damages**, including a cracked side mirror, missing spare wheel and jack, a faulty timing chain, a misfiring engine, and other mechanical defects. I raised these concerns immediately after taking possession of the vehicle and provided photographic evidence. Despite numerous attempts to reach Standard Bank, the issues have remained unresolved for **months**, and I have not received an update from the bank.

2. Vehicle Registration and License Disc Issues: When I attempted to register the vehicle in my name and obtain a license disc, I was informed by the Licensing Department that the vehicle is still registered under Standard Bank’s name. I have visited the department multiple times, almost every week, and have been told that only the bank can proceed with the registration transfer and issue the license disc. This is causing further delays and preventing me from using the vehicle properly. I urgently require the license disc for insurance purposes.

This issue has been ongoing since the collection of the vehicle, and now, after two months, it remains unresolved. Despite raising these issues through formal communication, including a letter of demand, I have not received satisfactory responses from Standard Bank. They have failed to address the delays and lack of action on these matters, leaving me with an unusable, unregistered vehicle.

I strongly urge Standard Bank to take immediate action to resolve these ongoing issues, provide proof of registration filing, and address the damages to the vehicle. The ongoing lack of communication and inaction is both unacceptable and frustrating, especially as this situation has persisted for far too long.

I hope that by sharing this experience, Standard Bank will prioritize resolving these issues and restore confidence in their customer service.
