Unpleasant Attitude
Greetings
My name is Jabulile Zungu. I visited there Standard Bank branch at Kempton Park Festival on Sunday the 20th, to request a statement from my credit card, and what I got served left a bitter taste in my mouth. The gentlemen who welcomed me at the front desk, was very helpful. He wrote down my details, and kept calling one of the ladies, called Mirriam, and she did not pay him any attention (He called him twice). There gentlemen then said, I can proceed to the same Mirriam for assistance. When I arrived at her workstation, she stood up and told me that, I should wait to be called and not just come to her workstation, I was so dumb founded I stood The for a few minutes looking like an idiot, eventually I went and sat at the waiting area. She went to the front desk and checked whose next in line and then she came back and said I can come through. By that point I was so ****ed off and almost walked out, but I needed that statement. The interaction was ****ty, it's almost like I had no other choice. Then her and her other colleague start discussing their personal stuff at my expense, how lovely. I am a branch manager, and mind you I know how sometimes glitches happen and we sometimes do not meet our clients expectations, and I also know that I work for one Company where great client service is the order of the day. For Mirriam to give me her stinking attitude and treat me like I am just a number, makes me wonder if that is how she treats all her clients. What is the impact of that behavior on the business. We not doing clients a favor by doing our job, it's what we are mandated to do, therefore we should strive to give off our best. I mean the were 4 people working that day and it was not even busy, would it have ****ed her if she had responded to the gentlemen when He called her twice, and she didn't respond. Would it have ****ed her, if she just offered me a seat and greeted me, instead of standing up to go check whose next, when the is literally no one in the queue (common sense vs process). I did not appreciate her lack of professionalism and friendliness. If she didn't want to assist me she should have asked someone else to help me. We asked for the jobs we have no one is holding a gun to our head, so if you ****es off by clients coming to your branch, then hard luck, apply some EQ and give the set of yourself in any situation. Before you call and offer me an apology that's, because you following protocol, do not bother, but think about what if I am the one person who chose to escalate the bad service received, how many more people have received such bad service and were mum about it and what has it done to your brand?
