******** debit order deductions
On 11/09/2015 two ******** debit orders were processed through my account. Value R 2562.60. This was reported to Standard Bank on 12/09/2015. To this day, nothing has been resolved, no refunds back into my account or no contact from SB other than the calls/e-mails I sent to them.
The banking Code of Conduct clearly states that should this be reported to your bank within 40 days, the money must be refunded back into your account immediately. Guess what, NOTHING. Not a peep from Standard Bank.
What I would like to know from my bank is how it is possible to allow unauthorized debit orders to go through my account? Do they not have security measures in place to protect me from this? Or any body for that matter. If it is this easy to de***** a bank's clients, what is the purpose of these banks?
The banking industry know the companies involved. This much they have confirmed. Why then is there no red flags that go up when these type of transactions happen?
I would like Standard Bank to resolve this asap and refund my money.
But then, this is only one of a million ********** debit orders done monthly. Maybe everybody should get together and sue the banking industry.
