Unexplained holding of inward transfers from foreign bank

My husband transferred funds into my account from his foreign account on 13 March, today is 22 March and cannot believe the funds have not been released to my account. I have called several times with the customer representative telling me " we are waiting on instruction from the bank" Well I don't understand why the bank have to keep other people's money for so long and not even feedback via the emails I have sent as well.

My husband called his bank and they confirmed that they have released the funds. I am not sure who to believe. I have never had this problem before with Standard bank in the 10 years of transferring funds from foreign bank, why now?

Please resolve this issue immediately as it is frustrating to keep having to call and email with no progress on the issue.

It has now been nearly 2 months and Standard bank is still telling us that they have not received the cover funds from the sending bank for the foreign transfer. How this is possible - I don't know. Also the fact that it has now become OUR problem in resolving the matter. All I want is the money to get released - whether back to my husband's account or my account. It is ridiculous to think that in this day and age that these type of excuses have to be tolerated. You are a service provider and need to deliver a service as expected from the client and to not make internal issues the client's responsibility. All I am asking is to get to the bottom of this issue and get the money paid as soon as possible. I am disappointed to have to go to this extreme with Standard bank. If it was an error on the client's side I would understand but this is not the case. You have to deal with the issue internally and get it sorted. From A dissatisfied client
