Unauthorized Value Added Rewards/ V added debits

There's been an unauthorized debit orders (from V added/ Value added rewards) which have been taken from my account, when I called Standard Bank to inform them of the **** and block the debits, none of their staff personnel seems to know how to stop or reverse my funds into my account. It`s despite the fact that this is a well published **** across various platforms. Surely Standard bank`s ***** department or security department should by now have picked up this **** and came up with measures to protect their clients. During my call I was transferred to numerous departments and none of them was able to help me. Therefore I'm now wondering what happened to their promise of secure banking if they can`t protect their clients from ****s, they've just proven to being an ineffective and insecure financial institutions. Simple measures such as allowing me to authorize debit orders (up to a certain amount) via OTP or telephonically should be in place for the protection of their clients. Advising me to change account numbers cannot be the sole I can be offered me. I refuse to accept that as a solution because that kind of solution puts an administrative burden on me. Besides, if my account has been compromised from internally then it mean the new account number will be compromised as well. Why do I even pay monthly fees if the only solution Standard Bank can offer me to protect my account is to change account numbers every now and then? To me you`ve demonstrated that you don`t take the security of my account and funds seriously because you offer very little as far as security is concerned, if you fail to detect a simple **** like this. Furthermore, your processes clearly don`t take into account improving user experience if I`m going to be taken from pillar to post for reporting and reversing a ********** transaction. Still on your processes, one of your clever employees told me to look up the number of this Value Added Rewards/ V add ********, so that I can phone them and ask them to stop the unauthorized debits. Awesome, so you honestly believe that a ******* would publish his contact details and say: "hey, I`m obviously trying to **** you but should you catch me out, please phone me back on this number and say pretty please, then I`ll give you your money back"? I'm but that`s unacceptable to me. Right now I`m a very unhappy client, whose account has been servery compromised (seeing that just about anyone can get my account details and start helping themselves under your watch and all you can advise me to do is to change account numbers or beg my ******* to stop), so considering changing banks where I can get better funds protection. After wasting my airtime and time calling the bank, I'm DONE with this Bank. You`ve just ruined a 16yrs + relationship with me. Ngiyabonga.
