Unauthorized Home Loan Debit Order

Dear Standard Bank,

After looking at Hello Peter, I thought to myself, I don’t know why I am doing this as you are not responding to clients feelings and unhappy service!

Home Loan Department, so I cancelled my debit order for my home loan on the 30 July 2018, got confirmation from a Standard Bank person, never had any issues with the payments of the house.

As of the 7th of Aug, a nice debit order went off my bank account, into the Standard Bank Home Loan department! After I have made the EFT payment, before the end of July, like every month since Aug 2018 into the bond account.

Currently, I am sitting with an unauthorized debit order going off my account! It is the 11th of Aug, a double payment on the bond took place, and I still need to get through the month.

HOW DO I GET THROUGH THE MONTH AFTER THIS???

If the account was behind (I can understand and would most likely not be okay with it, but understand it), but I am paying almost double the bond amount, can you perhaps clarify this?

I am not even getting my hopes up on a replay but, we as a nation need to stand together for companies/Banks that do this to clients! At the end of the day, we as the account holder don’t have any right on any account nor the money in the bank.

So, what can I do? Seeing that I am a client, and have not been treated fairly in this matter, I am going to the FSCA and also log a complaint with the Ombud regarding this matter.

Does anybody have a suggestion on how to handle this matter?
