Unauthorized Debit Order - Naedo Debit

I received an sms notification on 02 June 2018 of unauthorized debit order that went off on my bank account with the reference Naedo Debit. I was quite upset. I called Standard Bank on Monday 05 June and requested that this debit order be reversed only to be told, there was another one that also took place the previous month!! I requested that it also be reversed.

What really upsets me is that there is not much I can do in order to prevent this from happening again, as the customer service agent told me. Which means I must call every month to reverse this? I called Standard Bank again this morning as I am still quite upset, and wanted to confirm again, is there anyway I can get this blocked from ever occurring. I was told a stop payment can be put in place (at a charge of R55!!!) or I can change bank accounts!!

I find this truly unacceptable from a bank I have highly respected and used since I was in varsity. I contacted a few people that I know bank with Standard and asked them to please also check their bank statements. Three came back and found unauthorized debit orders from the "Naedo".

The fact that there is no form of recourse where we are not inconvenienced is not Treating Customers Fairly. I have sent an email to your Complaints division. I urge anyone that banks with Standard: CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS. I have a strong suspicion there are hundreds, if not thousands of us, out here being **********ly debited.
