Unauthorized Debit Oders

I've been a loyal client of Standard bank for more than 7 years. I noticed there's been unauthorized debit orders on my checque account and i reported this issue and was told to go to the branch to have these debit orders cancelled. I then went to Fish Hoek standard Bank Branch, at the enquiery desk the lady requested my details and she checked and she also confirmed there were amounts under R100 that were being debited. I asked her if i could cancel this account and open a new one as i did not feel safe anymore. She directed me to another lady for me to close and open a new account. I was told this account can't be closed because of Debit orders and they were not sure if i made any agreement with these companies debiting my account. I was so shocked because the first lady i spoke to could see there was clearly something wrong on my account. and she further said in order for my debits to be cancelled a fee of +- R55.48 will be liable to me for all the debit orders cancelled. How can a Bank charge a client for cancelling something that is not suppose to debit on your account without your approval? I'm so disgusted with the service i receieved that day. The Debits haven't stopped and my account has now gone to a minus because of these unauthorized debit orders. There is still no assistance from standard bank. Poor service and this shows they don't care about their clients and their safety. I feel this matter should have been handled from the onset as i'm now requested to for all the debits that bounced as my account has been on a minus. This is a day light ******* and Standard Bank is doing nothing about it, instead of helping they still want to milk me more and more. TERRIBLE BANK TO BANK WITH!!!
