Unacceptable Business Practice from Standard Bank Business Banking

I have a business account with standard bank for over 15 years and the only facility that I had on my account was an immediate cheque clearance whenever a cheque is deposited into my account. I was aware that should a deposited cheque be dishonored that this facility will be revoked. From the time this account was opened I was very careful with the cheques I accepted from my clients and made sure absolutely no cheques "bounced" ever. As banking practices moved away from cheques and EFTs became the norm I had no reason to use this facility until recently when a reputable organisation opted to pay me via cheque. I accepted their payment option knowing clearly that the cheque will be cleared immediately in my account and being a large organisation their cheque payment will be honorable. To my surprise the funds were not available to me meaning the cheque did not clear in my account. I made a 3 calls to the call center to have my calls redirected to my branch (Queensburgh) so that I could query this with my business banker as we cannot call the branch directly, however Standard Bank Queensburgh does not answer the telephone. I then opted to speak to business banking consultant at the call centre who checked the status of my account and informed me that the immediate cheque clearance facility that I had on my account was revoked. When I queried as to the reason she informed me that my business banker has revoked this facility and she cannot give me a reason why. She further explained to me that the only reasons this facility will be revoked are due to a dishonored cheque or *****, none of which applies to my account so why was this facility revoked??? The consultant then tried to get hold of my business banker to find out the reason but was unsuccessful as the branch does not answer their phones. I also asked the consultant if it is acceptable banking practice for Standard Bank to do as they please with my account without informing me, to which she rep**** that the business banker is supposed to inform their clients of any changes to their account. Why wasn't I informed of this??? I then asked to speak to someone else who can give me answers to which I was told by the consultant that only the branch manager will be able to help me and that I should go to the branch to find out the reason. This is problem as my account is held at a KZN branch and I am in Gauteng. Does Standard Bank expect to go to KZN for a query??? At the end of the call with this business banking consultant i stated to her that this is very unprofessional of standard bank to do as they please with a business account without informing their client and not be able to provide answers for their actions. Her reply was "oh ok". Is this how you talk to your clients???

This is absolutely pathetic service from Standard Bank.

I want my questions above answered and then a very detailed explanation as to why this facility was revoked and why was I not informed.
