Unable to get a paid up letter

I've been up and down, from pillar to post, transferred from department to department trying to get a paid up latter for a Homeloan that was sold. Main Homeloans department say they can't access the account cause it was in Legal, Legal say Homeloans should be able to assist. What a mess, cause the account shows as in errors on my credit profile.
