ucount and sim card

Opened an account with standard bank at a branch, some time later received a call from the main market entrenchment call centre department.I asked the consultant her name and department that she works for in case it was a ***** call. The consultants name is tebogo bereng, she started asking me questions about my account, she then tells me that my mymo account is not complete and that it is compulsory for me to take take the ucount and sim card products to complete my account. She said that it is an additional R30 that I must now pay on top of the R5.95 monthly fee.She insisted that it is compulsory for me to take these products.Luckily the consultant at the branch who opened my account explained that I could take these products whenever I was ready to. I went back to the branch an told the consultant that assisted me what had happened,he said it goes against the consumer protection act to force a customer to take a product,he then gave me the team leaders name and surname of Tebogo Bereng .The team leader is Preshendran Naidoo. I would like the following questions answered. 1.Is the team leader aware that his consultant is forcibly selling customers a product? 2.How many products has this consultant forcibly sold to customers who were not aware that the products are not compulsory. If this how standard bank lies and treats its customers I don’t want to be part of a product/bank that does this.
