U count rewards *******
.in 2014 I was recruited by Standard bank to join their rewards programme. Last week I called the bank to inquire about my balance on my points as I wanted to redeem and shop with my points. To my surprise I was informed by the bank that my rewards programme was deregisterd and therefore could not access any points as I did not earn anything.

The main requirement for a customer to earn loyalty points is to utilise the debit card everytime one shops at specific shops. For the past year I have been consistent in utilising my debit card everytime I do my shopping with the intention of earning loyalty points.

I am very disappointed with the treatment I have received from the bank consultants as they informed me that since my account was upgraded to platinum and therefore I was deregisterd. What is more dissapointing is that I was never informed about this situation and that the bank did not explain to me the consequences of upgrading my account as I was recruited by the bank to upgrade my account.

I therefore feel that I have been unfairly treated by the bank and being actually ****** of all my loyalty points that belongs to me.

Regards

Bongani
