Treating customers fairly???

I took out a student loan in 2012 for my studies. Last Month I finally made last payment. I owed R1000 however standard bank put through continued to put through my normal R1500 debit order. Resulting in a R500 over payment to my loan. Went into the Benmore branch to query and was given two options which made no sense:

1) EFT transfer to my Absa account at a cost of R160.
2) Bankers cheque at a cost of R75.??

So this was no error on my part, clearly error on Standard banks part. They owe me my R500, how is this my problem??? They basically *****ing?

Out of pure frustration I opted for option 2 and received a bankers cheque net the cost of issuing me the cheque. This is day light *******, I doubt I am the only one.

I was made a fool. Take MY money and hold me to ransom for it? Its not about the amount of Money,, its the principle behind it.
