Travel insurance disappointment

We have just booked a trip to Thailand and upon enquiring about travel insurance we were told that we do not qualify because our payment was made via EFT? My question now is why were we not advised about this by the consultant who assisted us with the payment? When speaking to another consultant at your branch he advised that travel insurance is only covered when using your credit card yet your website informs payment made via Master, Visa or Cheque card qualifies you for free travel insurance. Let's be conscious of the fact that this information is not common knowledge and places us in a disadvantaged position where we now need to fork out more money to cover our medical and travel insurance. This exclusion is rather ridiculous and i would encourage standard Bank to train their staff better and advise their customers better.
