Torn R200 notes

I withdraw about R3800 from a Standard Bank ATM, mind you I am not their client to deposit into my FNB account. The FNB ATM instantly refuses to accept one of the R200 notes in the batch simply because its torn. I take it thinking some stores will take it, but they all refuse. Upon returning to the Standard Bank branch to tell them, I am told that I need to produce proof that I actually withdrew money from their ATM. I did not take the ATM slip because we are constantly reminded to be careful of the environment and rather get a screen display of everything.

I am now driving and walking around with a R200 note from the Standard Bank ATM that they refuse to take back and give me the correct one and cannot use it anywhere else. To some, R200 is nothing, but try telling that to someone who earns R1000 a month.

Why put notes that are not worthy to be used in the ****** atm if you are not going to take them back. I might not have enough money for a private bank account and be a \single client"as they see it"
