Told that unauthorized debit was reversed when it was not
<p>If you think that unauthorised debits on your Standard Bank Credit Card can be reversed, think again!</p> <p>On the 3rd of July, I received a SMS at 09h31 “Standard Bank: R4534.22 purchased from *** at … 2016-07-03 Query? ********** 107"</p> <p>I immediately phoned the number to query and reverse the unauthorised debit on my card.</p> <p>What a waste of time!</p> <p>After a long and irritating story by the individual who took my call, I was **** to and told that the charge had been reversed.</p> <p>The individual also advised me to cancel the card to prevent the vendor from charging the card again. After “reversing the charge”, I was put through to someone else to cancel the card. The reference number for the call was ********** 860.</p> <p>The charge, made from a vendor outside South Africa, was not been reversed.</p> <p>Fortunately, I managed to sort the problem out with the vendor in Canada, who had incorrectly debited the card, otherwise I would be R4534.22 out of pocket.</p> <p>Why lie to me and assure me that the debit had been reversed?</p>

Good day
You are welcome.
I don't need Standard Bank Credit Card Division to "address" my concerns.
As I mentioned in my post, "I managed to sort the problem out with the vendor in Canada", I have cancelled the card and have requested for the card not to be re-issued.
My "concern" is that, when I phoned following an authorised debit on my card, I was told that it had been reversed when it was not. I am sure that you recorded the conversation - listed to it. I called the number given in the SMS at about 09h40 on the 3rd of July.
I have answered your e-mail as well.
Best regards

**********I thought that this matter was resolved.
Today the vendor informed me that the payment has been reversed.
However my Standard Bank Credit Card Statement does not show any credit.
Could someone please tell me what is going on?
