TIME WASTING ******* ...

I had app**** for a cheque account & was told that my card will be ready for collection in the next 3-5 working days and I will recieve a sms on phone that it will be ready for collection, I had waited for a week and had recieved nothing, I then went into the bank and queried the delay & they just brushed me off with a simple way saying that I must wait for my sms to come & must just bring a copy of my ID in order for to collect it. I then gave it a month, still not recieving a sms for collection, the excuse of not recieving my card was it was my fault that I did not pick up the card & they sent it back to head office and in order for to me recieve my card I will need to re-apply again and go through that whole proccess as getting a simple account open, eventually they did their job and got my account only after two months of running up and down to the that could of been done the 1st time correctly. I still have not recieved the card as it is lost with the courier company, I feel the bank is it at fault and it shouldnt be my problem.

I was just recently diagnosed with cancer and had to under go a major procedure that needed me to go into hospital and have an operation, I had left all my belongings (i.e clothes, wallet, etc) locked away and my cellphone with my mom and girlfriend. My mom and girlfriend noticed messages coming through on my phone stating that there are withdrawls coming off on my account, knowling that I am in an operation, my mom then phoned Standard bank to block my account so no more withdrawls can come off and they did so, my dad went to the place where the money had been withdrawn and we watched the video of a black gentleman in a brand new fortuner, this is clearly not anyone that has access to my card. There were 3 transactions made, each time was R1000,00 (Dates: 1st withdrawl - 31st Aug 2016 time: 07H35, 2nd withdrawl - 1st September 2016 time: 17H53, 3rd withdrawl - 2nd September 13H44) On the last withdrawl I was in theatre. I was admitted to hospital on the 1st of september.

After being released from hospital the first thing I did was go to the bank to resolve this issue, spoke to a man on the phone and he said that he would sort the issue out by getting the investigators to look into the situation with the money being deducted from my account as it was *****. A couple days after this, a lady by the name of Masello, contacted me with the reference number ********** 9, she advised me that I was the one who had given my card to this gentleman and had given him the correct pin giving them access into my account, which is ridculous because the card was in possesion locked away and is still now, and secondly who in their right mind will give out personal information to a person they dont know. She then advised me at the end of the call that Standard bank wont pay back the money as it is not considered *****. The call was recorded.

Please note that I have been to the place where the money had been drawn from and got video footage of the culprite that withdraw the money from account during this time period matching the time period that I was recieving the sms with time, I had no contact with my phone, my mom and girlfriend had it & saw these sms's with the withdrawls while I was on the thearte.

I honestly dont feel this is good service to a client that has been with this bank for more or less 8 years & feel ****** with my money where it should be safe.

Please contact me for the video footage.

Has anyone else had this issue?????
