Let me start by saying that I pay my credit card every single month via debit order on the 26th of each month. Well in this month of January Standard Bank decides they can basically ***** from me and debit my account on the 23rd of January. Well because of insuffiant funds the debit order bounced back. And because of this it reflects bad on my credit profile. My fiance and I are in the process of applying for home finance and I can honestly say that with this type of service Standard Bank will be our very last option. My fiance has a savings account and credit card with Standard Bank and I was advising her to move her accounts to her other bank which is FNB. I had a agreement with Standard Bank to debit my account on the 26th of each month, why they decided to ***** from my account on the 23rd I don't know - I will go to the ombutsman if this gives me a bad credit rating as this is total lack of respect for your loyal customers - I have been with Standard Bank since the age of 16 and I am now 26.
