They're always right in their head and clients are always wrong - just as long as they don't pay it's it's okay.

I have a business and personal account with Std. Bank. 3 active queries sent 1/04/20 with no resolution whatsoever.

1. Business acc had 3 directors, one removed via CIPC meaning we had to update it with the bank ASAP, just so we weren't vulnerable to unauthorised transactions that would be initiated by the removed director. PS: The business add was also in the premises of the removed director

* Went in the Maponya branch sometime November 2019 to update director removal and update address, the consultant first gave us a run around about there being no business banker on shift that day because she wasn't able to access a portal that confirms all ad-hoc updates. (Basically logging in to CIPC integrated system showing all business details), I had with me meeting register signed by different people different styles, power of attorney and business certificate showing what she wanted to confirm. We spent 3 hours inside, they have the footage for that claim. After fighting and threatening to close account the "business banker" was called, she gave credentials to the employee, she took in all our documents and told us nothing else was required, that it should be updated the following day.

* 01/2020 I check statements for business account, the account still has old address and still 3 directors listed on it. I go in 15/04 long queue due to covid but that's fine, I go in after 2 hours of standing outside, a consultant tells me there weren't any documents uploaded, insinuates that I didn't come in for an update, argues with me actually. I tell her I don't want her helping me, I ask for a branch manager, they get me a team leader. Team leader is friends with the consultant that didn't update documents, makes a call, finds documents and tells me they've found them and they need proof of business. Imagine if I didn't ask for a manager.

*The premises are newly built premises with no utility bills coming in. I ask what I can do because of that, they say they don't take affidavits but will accept letter from councillor which I get, because they don't have forms confirming address for business they do one for personal and on side put business name and CK reg. I take it to the same branch that requests it (Maponya) they tell me they don't accept it, I request a manager again, this time a new one (the actual manager), also tells me they don't accept it, listens to me speak about all the issues I have with the bank, speaks to someone else by the tellers, comes back and says they'll accept it but not the way it's been filled out. (Still active not resolved.

2. Std. Bank send me e-mail stating that they'll be doing a 3 month relief, I'd need to be in good standing with CIPC and Bank which I was, doesn't stipulate where this applies to. The business isn't making money atm meaning I'm paying from my pocket and the 3 month relief appeals to me, they say from 1 April is when it'll kick in. Come 1/04 00:00 service fee goes through with a overdraft fee which has never happened instantly before. I call in next day and an operator (bizconnect) tells me it might be a technical issue, I send an email 02/04 no response till today. The responses I get are that I should just pay the over draft fee from a misunderstanding that was caused by an email they send which had inconclusive information about what the relief applies to. Because of that I should just pay. I get an email from a business banker this morning.

"I am unable to reverse the monthly fee of ** being overdrawn on you account.

The payment holidays on loans is for April (April payments would go off end of April or the first few days of May) May and June only. March payments still need to be up to date."

The 3 month relief just as shown on the net clearly states that this kicks in 1 April, the email sent by the newly assigned business banker contradicts that.

There's many more other issues I've had but there's only so much I can write. Now the bank makes it all seem like it's my fault and I should just pay which to me makes no sense, does seem so much like a **** though with employees that see themselves as separate entities from the bank, they don't see themselves as ONE and I'm sure I'm not the only one but this is devastating and time wasting. Terrible experience with the bank.
