They want to go on your adventure but they would rather you buy your ticket at FNB

Recently we had to move. Trusting our landlords - the infamous Goodwin Brothers (Chas Everitt and Nedbank) to repay our deposit plus interest within 7 days as in the contract we paid all of the stuff we had to. As we are still waiting we are sinking into a deeper and deeper hole. We approached Standard Bank with whom my husband has banked for a number of years. He noticed that he had overpaid into settling the credit card. It took us a week. They kept telling us it was with the lawyers. We finally got them to realise that they were at fault and that they had never paid the amount over to Standard Bank Credit card. We got an email that grovelled and asked how we could repair our relationship. We asked if we could extend our overdraft for three months by R5000. They said no. My husbands personal banker Bonnie-Jean Bothma called Tim in and made an unsolicited offer of R9000 over ten months which he accepted. This was then rejected and we were told we needed to motivate it. The next day Ms Kirkland phoned and said the loan was declined which is a bit impossible as we hadn't reapp**** and motivated and that Stannic (my car managed to blow the head gasket and in my opinion after repair is dangerous) would phone and he must be sure to answer the phone. I then asked Simon Dagut also in the Executive office how it could happen that we be declined prior to applying for an unsolicited loan offered to us. His reply was that there was a mix-up and that although the banker had offered the loan of her own accord the bank did not support the offer. I then asked him what they expected us to do and he sent me a snotty little note about ending the correspondence. We are now being forced to request our stannic debit order to be reversed so that we can live the month. The Goodwin brothers who got us into the predicament are living the life of Reilly. In November last year Tim had over R300 000.00 in Standard Bank from his retrenchment. It took a while to find a job and he has now been working for the 3rd month so there is money coming in every month. Oh, and lastly when we asked why when we had asked for R5000 they had offered us R9000 they said (Simon Dagout/Nicole Kirkland - office of the CEO) told us if we get refused on the lower amount they make an offer of a higher amount because sometimes it gets approved - stupidiest thing I ever heard

Reviewer Update

i ASKED THAT THE VAF BE REVERSED BY 4PM TODAY. I HAVE SPOKEN TO A PRESTIGE BANKER WHO GAVE ME THE WRONG INFO, TOLD ME TO DO IT MYSELF AND SCUTTLED OFF HOME AT 3.30. BONNIE-LEE BOTHMA. THERE WAS NO BRANCH MANAGER, NOBODY JUST A LADY IN SUPPORT WHO WAS NO HELP. I REFERRED THE MATTER BACK TO MR DAGOUT BUT NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN. THE OMBUDSMAN ASKED A LADY BY THE NAME OF AUDREY TO INVESTIGATE. SHE REFERRED THE MATTER BACK TO MS KIRKWOOD. SO ROUND WE GO AGAIN
