They do not want to repay my claim
On 29 December 2014, my tenants who is renting my house returned from holiday, phoned me to inform me that the entire house is under water. While they were on holiday a pipe burst upstairs in one of the bathrooms, and the water was dripping though the concrete ceiling in the kitchen. I immediately logged a claim with Standardbank, and immediately phoned a plumber to fix the problem to prevent further damage. The second week in January HJM projects went out to the house to fix everything. I had to pay the plumber R3650 immediately for the leak detection and fixing of the burst pipe and R31 296,42 to HJM projects to fix the house. Eventhough I pay a lot of money every month on insurance, Standardbank does not want to repay me. First there was a problem with invoice, now thats sorted, now there is a problem with the plumbing invoice. Someone in your office also phoned the plumber to confirm work done. I even send Ishmael Baloyi photos to show the burst pipe, spoken to many different people in the office, no one phones back, 10 months later and problem still not sorted. Currently building R6.5m house, definitely reconsider making use of Standardbank insurance.
