Standard bank please make me understand why do i have to go to another bank to access funds of my late brother My brother passed away this year in June, we wanted to access the funds in his account to assist with burial, i was told I cannot access the funds without a letter of authority, In which i went to court and the letter was received, Yesterday i went to your branch in Sterkspruit To my surprise i was told that the branch does not offer those services it's either i go to east london or go to FNB "these services are usually offered to wealthy people @ these are the words from your consultants , now please explain why do i have to go to another bank and pay R500 to open an account in order for me to get the money, i cannot understand why i have to go FNB while my late brother banked with standard bank and im also banking with standard bank for years and now you are telling me i must go to FNB and pay R500, sad thing is your consultants are not very helpful not sure where is the customer service you are supposed to be offering, Now sthandard bank please explain why are you doing this when my brother was alive and trusting Standard now that he no more we must go to the other side to get help or all of sudden these services are offered to wealthy people, Since i dont fall under the category of being wealthy now i must spend more money going to other banks to be assisted, next time please offer your services to wealthy people, cause clearly i am banking with wrong bank, unfortunately my late brother did not know that,
