THE BANK THAT DEFINATELY DOES NOT WANT TO COMMUNICATE WITH ITS CLIENTS

My son had a student loan from Standard Bank in 2019. In 2020 they would not extend the loan as I was in financial distress. According to the agreement I would pay the interest, he would pay the loan when he starts working (he is now 2nd year) Just before lockdown he got a message saying that he needs to pay the interest - him being a student and not employed we tried to find what was going on. After many calls, complaint logs etc we finally found someone during lockdown to explain the situation to us. What the meant was that we need to restart paying the loan - not in line with my understanding of the agreement but I agreed to do so at an agreed amount. Lo and behold - I COULD NOT - SBSA could not allow me to pay the money, in the bank (lockdown very limited branch hours), via ATM or via EFT. I informed them, Their response was to give my son over to Brooks & Luytt. We tried whatsapp, number active during lockdown, e-mail, messages - could not get a response from them. Now they (by text) issued my son with a summons. I am confused - I tried to get into discussions to repay but I am not allowed - why threaten my son???
