Thanks SB for making my choice of a new bank so much easier!

For years now people have told me I am wasting my time with SB. Always seeing the good in people, I was that naive little girl to think that this relationship will be benifical in the long run.

Well, guys. Today was that final nail in this doomsday coffin.

On the 18th of May, Seapoint Post Office charged me twice. Usually people will oversee such things, but this was rather a big ammount and every little bit counts. I phoned your customer service and after 30minutes of waiting and being musical haired around the joint I ended up opening a service request with you guys and I was told that I will get the reverse by the 27th of May.

Cool.

27th came.

Nothing.

Now like any hopeful young deer waiting to be slaughtered I was holding on for a banking hero. A week passed. Nothing. So I tried again. After being swung around again like a hopeful at a speed dating joint, I ended up with a very nice lady telling me that she is sorry and that the new service request will be put in place and she requested that she will specially speed up the process so that I can be paid quicker.

YES I thought. This was it. The faith I had was rewarding me. Even though this was the SECOND service request. It told me I was to expect my money on the 14th of June. But the lady said she sped it up for me, so who knows! Christmas may come earlier.

Fast forward to this day. The 21st. A whole month and week more after the whole shabang. Nothing. Not one word.

For the THIRD time, I picked up the phone to that dreadful customer line of yours with that elevator music of the 70s that will not leave my earholes for another 10 years.

30 minutes, again, of being swung around - back and forward divisions - this and that - ONLY TO BE TOLD:

"I'm sorry m'aam, but you have to go to the merchant. There is nothing we can do".

Are you kidding me, Standard Bank?
After more than a month, two service requests, nice people telling me it will happen, papers that were filled in, hope that was given me that this will happen...

AFTER THE THIRD TIME YOU TELL ME.

'There is nothing we can do'.

Well, then.

I guess if there is nothing you can do, then it is pretty clear.

Bye bye, Standard Bank.

It's been real.

As real as Kim K's natural selfies.

Bai.
