Terrible service

<p>I have a home loan with std bank for the last 12 years or so and tbh the service received has been appalling over the years. Recently summons where issued to my lawyer that handled the transfer of the property as my brother had passed away. Summons for an amount around R45000 or so that's in arrears. Note no one contacted me about this so that payment arrangements could be made!</p> <p>My lawyer has tried to get them to put this arrears amount back into the bond or to increase the monthly payment and they have refused to do so forcing me to put the property up for sale! For the last two weeks my lawyer and I have been trying to get the settlement amount from std bank as I have received an offer to purchase and they have failed to send this to us! Not to mention I have tried repeatedly to call std bank for this only to be transferred all over and given numerous different numbers to call! I am now also liable for legal costs to their lawyer! This is the most ********** customer service received and being a client for so long it's atrocious that they will not assist you! </p> <p>I'm now forced to sell my property at a loss just so they can get their money! </p> <p>An amount that I asked to be included in the monthly repayments! </p> <p>An amount had someone had the decency to call and discuss instead of handing if over to legal! </p> <p>Please tell me what more I'm supposed to do here when I have tried to make arrangements and no assistance at all from standard bank </p>
