Terrible customer service

I've tried on 3 occasions without success to collect a banking card from Standard Bank Sea Point. On the first occasion the computers were down, the 2nd time the banking hall was filled to capacity so I just left, but the 3rd time was incredibly frustrating ! I walked into the bank, hoping to ask someone where to collect. I eventually asked a client sitting on a chair who was waiting for assistance. I sat next to him and so the 45 minute wait began. Then I see a guy come in, walk to a counter in the middle of the floor who then asked me if he could borrow a pen. He proceeds to fill in some dog eared form on an old clipboard. So apparently one is supposed to fill in that form before waiting in the waiting area. There was no sign, no indication whatsoever, and so after 45 minutes I was at the back of the queue. I queried this with a member of staff that was passing by who informed there was a sign. I asked her to show it to me. After a 10 second in vain search she told me she was too busy to help - there was no sign whatsoever. I left, cardless, frustrated and disgusted ! In a world of incredible technology this backward system is totally unacceptable. Even a busy bakery allots a number to you. Here was a bank with an old clipboard, no pen , no assistance and certainly no sign !!! Bring on digital banking.....
