Terrible bank
<p>Hey guys i have been with std bank for years and God have i had a Bad time <br />ok here are my grievences<br />1) the bank bothers you with tons of sms/calls/pamphlets when you ask them not to hell i almost got demoted as i was called by Sibongile from std bank who wouldnt take no for an answer and phoned me 5 times in a **** meeting hell i mean they called me 4 times today on seperate numbers coz i missed one payment of R270. not 2000 not 20000 but 200.<br />2) they dont give the service they promis i took out a personal loan on my account and i was retrenched and they refused to give me my insurance due to a technicality!!! then promptly demoted my credit rating to a delinquent due to the fact it took me 3 months to get a new job.<br />3) the way the people treat their customers constantly suprises me that you get the feeling they are looking down on you and make you feel like **** just that you fell into a little bit of a hard time.<br /><br />all in all i am Highly dissatisfied with this bank and as soon as i am done with my loan payments with them i am moving to another bank as the service can only be rated as Complete **** </p>

got a call from a gentelmen about this today he was nice and actualy spoke to me well. we were in agreement and we reached a setlement.. Then another woman from the credit rehabilitation department calles me not 20 minets after and talks down to me as if i am a **** dog! and practicaly orders me to go into the branch !!! this is how std bank treats their customers !!!! do they not communicate or are they just ********? as it seems that they have no idea what one another are doing!!!!!!!
the guy i spoke to in the complaints resolution center was a good man and understands how to speak to customers and that if you treat them well they will give you respect back. the rest of them have No bussness being employed in positions that they should speak to customers!

Update i have payed standard bank off when i got to the branch they even gave me a discount on the loan when i payed. BUT they never marked it off for the rest of std bank to show that i had been given a discount and they still call me every day despite me telling them that they have recieved their money and them all acknowlaging that i can get a discount.. in total it is utterly pathetic that they dont know what is going on in their own busness and it is shocking that we let a company that is this pathetic look after our money
