Terrible attitude

I financed a vehicle with SBVAF in Jan 2017. I was clearly financially stressed at that time, but needed the vehicle to earn a living. On being granted the finance, I took it upin myself to relieve my debt stress by disposing of my one private vehicle and after a few months of struggling to sell the vehicle, I managed to dispose of it in June 2017. In november 2017 i managed to dispose of a second vehicle which left me with just one vehicle, financed by SVAF. I was not perfect in conducting my payments but always attempted to do so. To the lack of my knowledge, SVAF had taken legal action against me and had obtained an order to repo the vehicle. They had cancelled my contract and apparently my full outstanding balance was due. Contrary to this action SVAF, they continued to take my payments. On 26 jan 2018, I went into the Windermere branch to settle all arrears on my vehicle. I called the call centre from the bank with assistance of a branch employee. I was given an account number against my id number and paid an amount of R10000.00 Before leaving the bank, I called the call centre again to advise them I had paid. At this point I was given a number for Salvino Govender. I called him. He rudely advised that my payment was a waste of time as he wanted the full balance or the vehicle. At no point was i advised no to pay, but surrender the vehicle. On 1 feb 2018 a repo man arrived at my home. He was not a court authority. I asked for a court order and was shown an unclear faxed or email copy. I said i want the original. I was told that he had called the sheriff and he was on his way. I was told a tow truck was also enroute. I was told i will have to pay R22000.00 for the sheriff cost and R3000.00 for towing. I was also told if the sheriff took the vehicle i would have no chance of getting it back. But it was made clear that either way the vehicle was going. I could not leave as my driveway was blocked by this man and his car. He told me if i drive the car to the warehouse he would put in a gokd report and help me get my vehicle back. I was asked to sign forms under duress. I had paid my arrears, so why did this hapoen? I was told i can pay R5000.00 legal fees and agree to pay on time and I would get the vehicle back. Salvino govender was arrogant and adamant that the vehicle will be sold. I escalated the matter and was advised that i can get the vehicle back if I paid an amount of R38000.00 (post judgement costs) within 5 days and agree to pay rwgularly. If i cannot pay R38000.00 the vehicle will be auctioned. Where on earth do I get R38000.00 from before 22 feb 2018? What on earth is this R38000.00 for? I find that SVAF should refund my monies the collected aftertaking action to repo and that they were deceiptful in taking my payment. They are most unhelpful and rude. Their communication s****s lack. They simply forward emails received from the next person onto the client. Not even the decency of a call to relay the message
