Technical Error

<p><br />On Tues 25 July at approx. 06:00 I went online to pay accounts through Standard Bank. I discovered that a R704 rates account I tried paying was changed to R11 971! I phoned the bank at approx. 06:30 and was told that there was a technical error and that the money would be reversed between 30 mintues to an hour. That didn't happen.</p> <p>I phoned again at 21:00 and was told that it would be sorted out by the next morning (Wednesday morning) - that didn't happen!</p> <p>I phoned again at 06:00 yesterday Wednesday 26 July and was told it would be escalated.</p> <p>I decided to go into the bank and, after speaking to a manageress (who said it was a national problem), was told that they hoped it would be sorted out during the course of the day. That didn't happen!</p> <p>I checked my balance this morning at 03:00 and still no reversal!!</p> <p>I am now without any money and not knowing who or where to turn to. Other clients in the same position also have stop orders/debit orders their accounts.</p> <p> </p>
