Talk is cheap..

I am totally dissapointed by Standard Bank's complete lack of empathy and support during these unprecedented hard times. I was terminated in December and I advised my branch immediately to find out what needed to be done as i have loans, car finance and credit card with them. No response. I then visited epping branch, only to be told that there was nothing they could do and the insurance cover on my loan agreements only covered me if i was retrenched. No other assistance offered. As the weeks turned to months, my account was constantly charged for unpaid debits to the total of more than R4000 ! Then lockdowns were enforced and the situation just spiralled. I have been harrased for payment plans etc etc to the point of depression. ( you cant draw blood from a stone ) i app**** for UIF in december, and it was finally approved and paid on the 13th August ! So now finally i see a glimmer of light, only to my dismay that i cannot access the funds in my account as it has been suspended. I walked to the nearest branch to be told that i have to wait an additional 48hours before the sispension can be lifted. Really ? I have been left with a bitter taste in my mouth as Standard Bank definately do NOT walk the talk.... is this how they help people that are on the brink of losing everything. Words cannot express the way that i feel about this situation. Unfortunate as it is. I wouldnt recommend standard bank to anyone. Think twice.
