Taking more than a month to open a business account

<p>On the 26 June I went to Makhado branch to open a business account. Since one of the company directors was in Cape Town, the consultant told me she will send the documents to Rondebosch branch so he can sign the documents there. I do not know how the documents were sent but it took 13 days for him to sign the documents after I called couple of times. Now it’s been 19 days since the documents were signed in Cape Town and I have not been called yet to go and finalize opening of account. The worst part is, I stay 30Km away from the branch so i can only call to follow up and the consultant does not answer my calls and never gets back to me (I call the mobile and landline she gave me). It makes me wonder if these big banks do such things intentionally to make sure young black South Africans never succeed in business because without a bank account we can't do anything further as a business (Even courier doesn’t take week to deliver parcel door to door)</p>
