TAKING A LOAN WITH STANDARD BANK WAS THE WORST MISTAKE EVER Try exhausting all your options before you take a personal loan with Standard bank. My credit score is poor because of the little amount that I took with Standard bank which doesn't even exceeds R50000, it was R42000 but their consultants cheated me by not explaining the terms of the loan to me properly and she made me sign an electronic copy and I never received the hard copy. She set the monthly installments to R2400 instead of R1300. I paid for few months coz I was doing well financially but then i had a situation which led me to suffer financially and since I can't afford to pay that much my account went deep into arreas and when I reported the matter they Said I had no proof since it was a face to face consultation. I tried to make an arrangement with them if I can pay R1500 per month and they refused and said I signed the contract to pay R2400 so anything less my account wiill still go into arreas hence I stopped paying altogether. I even reported the matter to Ombudsman but they said i signed a contract. Please let Standard bank be your last resort if you need a loan.
