Switching to standard bank feels like a mistake
Moved my banking to Standard Bank from Absa including my salary. I also have vehicle finance and a home loan. I was assured my debit orders will also be moved for those two facilities, but they were not and now i am gettinf threatening messages from Standard bank saying they report me to credit bereaus for being in arrears. When i questioned my banker why i was told to make manual payaments as they only scheduled them for the 1st of November.
I mean why am i being held accountable for their incompetence to do a simple thing.

06 Oct 2025, 12:35Thabisile Nxumalo called me to ask to me to explain to her my problem, despite the explanation being in the complaint. Then i told her i have already escalated this to Soraya Gamsu who is listed as the complaints manager and even that person hasnt assisted me. After which she said she cant escalate it anymore. I came here because i thought there would be some urgency, but it's just another obnoxious and condescending standard bank employee who has zero customer skills. Can who ever is in charge of Home Loans and Vehicle finance call me.. At the end of the month il move to another bank. this is nonsense.
