Surplus Funds in Access Bond not available

I have an access bond facility with Standard Bank for 2 years now. I never had any issues with retrieving my surplus funds in my access bond, until about a month ago.

At the time of the Debit Order, Standard Bank also takes my available surplus funds. Which means, I do not have access to this money for up to 10 days (as I was told by the Call Centre agent and in-branch assistants). Upon informing them that this is the first time it happened to me, they explained that this always happened (which is not true, because whichever additional funds I put in, I always had access to after the Debit Order run).

This was never explained to me before and I find that this is truly unfair for making my access funds unavailable, especially when I needed it.

Dear Standard Bank, I appreciate your response, but for making your clients wait for more than a week just for funds to clear, is ridiculous. I can understand this still if I did not need the funds, but I am in desperate need of it. I am hoping this could get the right attention and be resolved by today / tomorrow. Regards, Ali
