SubStandard Bank (again!)

I have been trying to get a Tax Certificate on my MoneyMarket Account since 17 August.

I have been told telephonically twice by the call centre that the mysterious “Back Office” with whom mere mortals like myself may not communicate directly, claims the account was only opened this year when it most definitely was not.

I even attached a copy of the previous year’s tax certificate but have received no response.

One call centre agent undertook to liaise with the “Back Office” and revert but there has been dead silence for over a week. On calling again for another 30 minutes on Tuesday morning I was told Complaints Department was my only recourse to escalate the matter.

I realise Complaints Department is probably inundated with unhappy subStandard Bank clients at present but would appreciate any urgent resolution that can be provided given that my initial request was made about 4 weeks ago.

I contacted the Complaints Department telephonically yesterday morning whereupon receipt of my email to them on Tuesday was confirmed and I was advised that I should receive a reference no. during the day. I have still received no reference no. or other communication and telephonic attempts to reach Complaints Department are now unsuccessful today. I was advised yesterday that they attempt resolution within 3-4 working days but now how much longer am I expected to wait for an essential document?

Another WEEK gone! Nothing beyond the "STANDARD" response above.

This is Vodacom-level bad!!

Does SARS even accept that your bank can fail to provide you with a tax certificate??

Please revert beyond a cut-and-paste response and consider what clients actually pay high monthly bank charges for!
