Studentloan Standard Bank

We have been battling since January to obtain a student loan from Standard Bank to cover my daughter's accommodation at the university. She is a first year student at the Stellenbosch University. My husband is a Standard Bank client and already app**** online in January for this loan. Although he has a private banker, she is not allowed to handle a student loan. It was a mission from the start. The student branch is not open over weekends and their hours fall in class time. Our daughter had to bank a number of classes to sit in line for extended periods of time to hand in certain documentation. For certain forms, such as proof of residence, she had to go back as many as three times due to bad communication as to what exactly is required. My husband also had to put in leave and drive through from Herm**** to sign certain forms after which he was assured that everything was in order. In the meantime, the forms have also 'disappeared' at one stage. What do other parent do? And what if you are from Gauteng for example? It is middle June and we are still waiting....
