Student Loan Nightmare
Never in my life have I experienced such bad service. I had a student loan which I settled in full in June. The bank deducted the full premium of R8 000 although I just owed R4 000 to fully pay the loan. I have been to the bank now 3 times in Saldanha to get them to EFT the credit to my Capitec bank account. Everytime there is a error. And the last response was that they need to investigate now where the money is. I have spend an hour on the phone yesterday with the call center to try and resolve this. I was transferred to 5 different people just to hear that they do not have the authority to transfer the funds. How is it possible that a bank cannot perform a simple task like this? I will not recommend this service to anyone. Standard Bank have no customer service.
