Student Loan.......Again

This is the 5th year of applying for a student loan and each and every year it has been such a bad experience.

This year we thought we would avoid the beginning of the year rush and therefore have a positive experience.

We were wrong!

Once again documentation was not completed/loaded correctly and once again my husband and my daughter had to go in twice to sign the documents.

My husband explained that it is very difficult to get time off to sign again and they offered to come to his office. After 2 emails to set up a time with the person at Constantia branch and no response, my husband took a days leave to go and sign.

The responsible person was not there but after a few phonecalls another person assisted....thank you.

We are however still waiting for confirmation and despite emailing again and me leaving a message to please call me urgently at 13:40pm today....I have still heard nothing at 15:10pm.

I have tried calling Constantia Branch and no matter who i ask to speak to, no-one answers and the call centre apologises once again.

My husband will now attempt to contact the Student Loans Department, not Constantia, and maybe we will get some assistance.

We have both banked with Standard Bank for many years, me since my student days and am deeply dissappointed that a Private Client and a Prestuge client get treated in this way.

I sincerely hope my daughters fees are paid by 30th June as the UCT penatly is hefty and I feel that we have done all we can to pay on time but Standard Bank has let us down once again.
