Student account that costs more than R2000 in monthly fees, ridiculous!

I didn't know your student account monthly fees amount to R70... My youngest brother has a student account with standard bank and on the 27th of September he deposited R3000 and R400 minutes after, from that money that he's deposited he only withdrew R550 and the rest standard bank did as they wish. I'm talking about a student account but they kept charging him for things that I don't understand there's an overdraft that kept being charged every month including the monthly fee for R70... They come with stories that when he turned 23 he was supposed to change his account but they never communicated with him about anything. That account was not used for some months and I mean over a year and they kept charging him. Still no communication was made to him.. Now they say they won't reimburse him why I don't know because the last time I checked student account monthly fees were only about R5. And their tellers at Sunnyside (SunnyPark mall) are rude. I demand clear explanation for what happened to his rent and food money.
