Stranded Traveller.

Three months ago I opened a bank account with Standard Bank. I was coming over to Vietnam to travel South East Asia and I needed an account for my travels. I was advised that a debit account would be my best option. I was also told that I would be able to set up my internet banking online and that I should wait until I get over here and have a phone number here to set it up. When I arrived here I attempted to set up my internet banking but was unable to do it for some reason. Last week my bank card was ******. I contacted Standard Bank to ask them to please send me a new card but have been told that because it is a debit account they are unable to do this. I asked if there is anyway for me to sign over power of attorney to my parents from over here or if I can order a new card and get my parents to fetch it and courier it over to me but they are unwilling to make a plan like that either. They did give me advice on how to set up internet banking but in order to do this they had to deregister my mobile banking app which was the only place that had my card number stored on it which is required for internet banking and which I have no access to. My reason for now needing internet banking is so that I can transfer my funds out of my account. I am a 23 year old female solo traveller in Vietnam with no bank card and no access to my money and I have no idea what to do. In all honesty I am writing this review so maybe the marketing team can put this through to a superior who could understand the uniqueness and desperation of this situation as I have no money and no way of anyone getting my money to me. I do not understand why Standard Bank suggested that I take out a Debit account to travel if they are unable to send out new debit cards when they get lost. My email address is ********** if anyone can help me please contact me as soon as possible. I have a bit of cash left with me but I will be running out soon and am not sure what to do from here.
