Stranded and no-one to help

I have been seconded to The Netherlands for 6 months and prior to my departure from South Africa I specifically went into the Standard Bank branch, Cape Town City Centre and changed my cell phone number and details in order to receive my one time password and any transactions on my account to my cell phone number whilst overseas. I was assured that this was indeed completed. I have been trying to make a critical payment on MyBills however I could not receive the OTP. I called Standard Bank who advised me that my cell phone number had been changed to receive transactions on my account but not to receive a OTP. I needed to come into the branch to have this changed, unfortunately I am an 11 hour flight away and cannot simply pop over to the branch. I am now incapable of transacting when a OTP is required due to Standard Banks incompetence to get it right the first time. I am literally stranded with no foreign bank account or person to assist me. The consultant mentioned that she could have changed this to my e-mail address, however the branch ALSO failed to update my correct e-mail address. I have been told that there is simply nothing that they can do. This is frankly outrageous customer service, that I must now suffer as a result of their inability to get a simple instruction right. I am furious and will consider moving my entire portfolio to another bank upon my return.
