Still unsolicited mail

I have just received another unsolicited email from standard bank, shamless advertising a product of their without any option to unscubscribe or remove myself from the associated list. Some exec at standard bank has obviously just gone aheaed and *******LY started mailing ads to all CUSTOMERS wihtout avenues to opt out.

This was my original complaint on 28 March:

"Standard Bank has taken to emailing its customers from their official info (at) with information advertising web seminars for its financial products. The latest has the subject "Retirement Annuity Webinar". These emails have no option to unsubscribe. If receiving these is on account of being subscribed to an official standard bank list, there is no mention of this. As far as be seen, some egotistical exec at standard bank decided they wanted to start advertising directly to all their customers without providing the legal avenues for customers to opt out of such marketing and are now just advertsising willy nilly from the same official email address where actual bank admin originates from. Thus I cannot simply block the emails. This is an abuse of power and exploitation of customers and is frankly disgusting for such a big bank to be doing."

This was their reply after a week:

"

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to look into your matter. I sincerely apologise for the delayed response. I communicated with our marketing department and confirmed they have placed you on our do not contact list. We have escalated your concerns to management they would be in a position to address the breakdown in service you have experienced, and would be in a position to ensure that the necessary measures are set in place to provide better customer service to our clients."

Clearly either nothing was done or, as I suspect, the emails is being sent outside of their official marketing streams.
