Still receiving bulk emails to my late father 7 years after his death!
I have lost count of the emailed requests to Standard Bank to stop sending my late father emails as he passed away in 2013. My email on 2 Dec said: FFS, my father (your customer) passed away 7½ YEARS AGO. I have REPEATEDLY asked you to stop sending mail to him as I find this most distressing. Get your act together and have some respect for the bereaved relatives. Their response on 4 Dec, I kid you not: We apologis (sic!) for any inconvenience caused. Kindly copy the link below for any Deceased Estates claims and recoveries: https://www.standardbank.co.za/southafrica/personal/products-and-services/insure-what-matters/your-future/estate-administration You are welcome to contact us should you have any other enquiries. Kind regards Abegail Schultz Customer Contact Centre E-mail Unit My response the same day: Thank you. Since Standard Bank were my late father’s executors, you will know that his estate was finalised by the end of 2013. (Let's not even go into that TOTAL disaster BTW). All I am asking is that you REMOVE his name and email address from your mailing list. No response up to now. This beggars belief. My requests were sent from the same email address I am asking them to delet; surely after 7 years someone can work out how to do it, and apologise?
