05 Apr 2019, 19:40It has been "addressed" in "forwarding it to the relevant department" always and no one is actually assisting in my favour! You may have read the communication and stated it's therefore "addressed" and that's it. From there on, you all do nothing! I have had to pay R60 for a stop order against Techzone, when I finally got through to a patient and kind consultant called Nkululeko. I had to reverse and cancel my own policies via my app. So, tell me oh grand and mighty Complaint resolution Centre of Standard Bank, what have you actually done to help me? How have my problems with your company been resolved when you continue to find ways to take my money in various ways as stated in my initial hellopeter.com complaint? I have seen no reversals of the bond account monies taken? I have seen no loyalty from your company's side? In case you have forgotten and for you to 'address' once more, kindly see
https://www.hellopeter.com/standard-bank/reviews/standard-bank-has-no-care-for-clients-be-ware-clientsconsumers- **********
And I think it indicates major ***ardice and lack of ethics to try pacify an angry and betrayed client with these little false statements and by blocking me on Facebook like a 13year old child. People drive through your windows because of the frustration you are causing them! And then you victim blame like abusers, and minimize client's issues because you're trying to keep up appearances, as your company slowly collapses and has to close branches.
Sort out the issues revolving my matter, or I will hold your company liable with the ex- abuser "primary" bond holder you seem to be aligning yourself with.

Trust you are well.
Please find attached the mandate as requested.
We note that --- and Ms. Drazek are both listed as the primary or principle account holders on this bond, therefore anyone of the account holders can request for the statements to their email address.
Once again our apologies for the delay and inconvenience caused to you.
Kind regards
Bernadine Naidoo
Dear Ma'am,
If what you stated is the case, then why have you never sent me the mandate copy until I have absolutely snapped with you people? And why suddenly after YOUR company acknowledges HIS email copy of it from HIM that the pdf of the HOMELOAN statement can only be opened with his id number?
I think you're all fumbling over your lies trying to cover the proverbial gaps of the f-up of your company and trying to victim blame, as your company has had such terribly bad Public Relations issues this year.
It is shameful of your company and you , and I don't fall for lies anymore since I've taken legal action against ---- for his various forms of abuse, which I informed you of since about April 2016.

18 Apr 2019, 10:51I have repeatedly emailed your legal collections department and all of your other divisions too to get some resolution... And you all appear to "copy/paste" your answers while you don't address the real problems and continue to illustrate disloyalty and misconduct to a long-serving client who is definitely planning to leave you. Your customer service is shockingly bad and literally shows how everyone in your company is just out to get money from people using **** excuses and various gas-lighting techniques with banking jargon, and how you all are trained to pass the buck and ignore the client, and pathetically block them on Facebook for fear of exposing your business misconduct to the world!

02 May 2019, 15:59Good day Taryn,
Following up on Mr Fuzile’s response below we have been advised of the following:
The matter appears to relate to Homeloan account number ********** 72, and due to the current arrear status on the account, Standard Bank of SA Ltd (SBSA) is following its normal collections process herein. The said Homeloan account is held in the names of T Drazek and Brian West.
The account had since been handed over to Messrs Shepstone & Wylie attorneys due to the arrears status, given the current arrears amount of R66 798.58.
SBSA has however offered an alternative and assistance in selling the property on a voluntary basis, with the EasySell mandate having been signed by the debtors.
Furthermore it appears that an offer to purchase had been received in terms of this EasySell mandate, with instructions since having been provided to Messrs Shepstone & Wylie not to proceed with any legal action, until the voluntary sale process is successful and transferred in accordance with due process.
You are of course welcome to reply to writer in need.

In accordance to your company's usual conduct, you merely state to me how you are so called "legally" in the right to do collections etcetera etcetera. Your insinuated threat of legal collections against me purely further antagonize me and truly illustrate what is has been stated in my claims against you. 03 Jul 2019, 12:27Standard B ank has been prevented from deducting money from their customer's accounts to settle debts without their permission following last week’s High Court ruling in favour of the National Credit Regulator (NCR).
Nomsa Motshegare, NCR's chief executive, said yesterday (Monday) the ruling would result in consumers giving banks permission to transfer funds from savings accounts in order to honour credit debts.
“The NCR welcomes this judgment as it protects consumers from financial difficulties caused by the arbitrary transfer of funds from their accounts by banks”, said Motshegare.
Two years ago the NCR took Standard Bank to task for debiting accounts of customers without their permission based on a loophole in the application of the common law principle called set-off.
The NCR approached the court for a declaratory order to clarify whether Section 90 and 124 of the National Credit Act (NCA) rendered the common right of law set-off in was applicable in credit agreements.
The common law set-off principle permits the bank to debit money immediately from a client’s account as soon as there is money without authorisation and any amount the bank considers to be due to it.
“Banks should obtain permission from consumers before transferring funds from consumers’ accounts to pay amounts due under credit agreements”, Motshegare said.
Judge Raylene Keightley on Friday ruled that section 124 excludes the operation of the common law set-off in all credit agreements that are regulated by the NCA.
“While set-off provides a means by which the consumer/ debtor can avoid defaulting on her debt, there is no need why she should be excluded from the process. It seems to me to be precisely for this reason that section 124 preserves a system of set-off but requires the consent of the consumer before it can be affected,” said Keightley.
Standard Bank had opposed the NCR’s application arguing that if a credit agreement arguing that the set-off principle was important in the banking industry as it allowed it to recover the debt as soon as the creditor’s account was in its favour.
The South African Human Rights Commission was also a friend of the court in the case arguing that the set-off principle negatively impacted basic rights including socio-economic rights.
Cliff Johnson, the vice-chairman of the National Consumer Union (Sancu), which represents millions of consumers, said the ruling was very good news for consumers.
“It means that banks can no longer take money deposited into your account and use it to offset outstanding debt you might have on a credit agreement with the same bank, without your express permission," Johnson said.
